We Set Up Shop at the Farmers Market
Most of what I do happens in driveways across Orange County, one appointment at a time. Now you can also find us in person — OC Mobile Bike Mechanic has a booth at the Newport Harbor Certified Farmers' Market, every Saturday, 9am–1pm, at Newport Harbor Lutheran Church (798 Dover Dr, Newport Beach — the corner of 16th & Dover).
Free Inspections, Right There at the Booth
Look for the chalkboard sign that says "Free Inspections" — that's us. We bring the full setup: repair stand, tools, the works, parked right at the market. If you're already out for produce and coffee, roll your bike over and we'll take a look while you shop.
- Free inspections — brakes, tires, chain, drivetrain, a real once-over, not just a glance
- On-the-spot fixes — flats, loose bolts, brake and derailleur adjustments, done on the repair stand right at the booth
- Booking for anything bigger that needs a full mobile appointment at your house
- No appointment, no pressure — come talk bikes, ask questions, or just say hi
We've had everything from beach cruisers to loaded-up cargo e-bikes on the stand at the booth. If it rolls on two wheels, we'll take a look.
Why We're Doing This
A lot of the best conversations happen face to face — someone mentions a noise their bike's been making, or asks if it's finally time for a new chain, and we sort it out right there instead of over the phone. The booth is also just a fun way to be part of the Saturday morning routine in Newport — we've met a lot of great neighbors (and a few very good dogs riding shotgun in the front basket) since we started showing up.
Bring the Bike, or Just Come Say Hi
You don't need to haul your bike down for a chat — but if you can, bring it. A five-minute inspection at the booth often catches something small before it turns into a bigger repair.
