We're Growing Past Orange County
For a while now I've been getting calls from riders in Pomona, Claremont, and the surrounding Inland Valley — a lot of them Cal Poly Pomona students and staff who found us through word of mouth from OC customers. Enough of you asked that it made sense to make it official: OC Mobile Bike Mechanic now serves the Cal Poly Pomona area as a regular part of our route.
Why Cal Poly Pomona Makes Sense
Campus is a great place to be a cyclist and a rough place to own a bike. Between the hills around campus, the commute in from off-campus housing, and the wear-and-tear of a bike that's your only transportation, things break — brakes wear out, derailleurs get knocked out of tune, tires go flat on the walk to class. A lot of students don't have a car to haul a bike to a shop, and don't have time to wait a week for a repair ticket.
That's exactly the gap we fill. I come to your dorm, apartment, or house with a fully stocked van and do the repair on the spot — usually the same day.
What We're Offering in the Area
- Full tune-ups and safety checks — brakes, shifting, tires, the works
- Flat repairs and tire/tube replacement
- E-bike service for the growing number of students riding electric
- Drivetrain and brake repairs for daily commuter bikes taking a beating on campus hills
Pricing and turnaround are the same as our Orange County service — tune-ups starting at $75, most repairs done same-day.
Puddingstone and Beyond
It's not all commuting, either — the Puddingstone Reservoir trails are right there, and Pomona's historic neighborhoods make for some great riding outside of class hours. If your bike needs to be trail-ready before a weekend ride, we can handle that too.
